Download and trial the S7 GET & S7 PUR AOI's to communicate with Siemens S7 PLC's. A 24 hour demonstration mode is supported by the Sigma AOI's. The demonstration mode can be restarted when it expires by restarting the Rockwell CPU.
Develop your communication strategy and fully test in the demonstration mode. Purchase your runtime licence when you are satisfied with the solution.
This is a software solution which utilises the existing Ethernet capabilities of the Siemens PLC system you wish to connect. No hardware gateway is required.
The Manual and instruction videos provide the guidance to easy connect a Rockwell PLC with a Communications Processor to a Siemens S7 PLC using Ethernet.

The Process & Control Engineering (PACE) magazines 7th annual PACE Zenith Awards were held at the RACV Club in Melbourne on 17th June 2010. The PACE Zenith Awards consist of eight industry categories and an overall "Project of the Year" winner chosen from the winner of each industry category. The Fifty finalists assembled for the awards ceremony dinner to hear the verdict of the awards four independent judges.
Sigma nominated its BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance Gregory Mine CHPP Control System Upgrade Project which was completed November 2009 in the PACE Zenith Awards Mining, Minerals & Exploration category. Sigma received the "Winners" award of this category. Sigma was also awarded the PACE Zenith Awards overall "Project of the Year" also for its BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance Gregory Mine CHPP Control System Upgrade Project.
